How to Request Apache County Records
Apache County accepts public records requests in writing and in person. The county operates on a four-day work week, so plan your visits accordingly.
Visit apachecountyaz.gov to find contact information for specific departments. The county website lists offices and their phone numbers. Note that offices are open Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM and closed on Fridays.
In-person requests work well when you want to view records before ordering copies. Staff can help you search for documents and explain what information is available. Call ahead to confirm the office hours since they differ from most counties.
Apache County Recorder Documents
The Recorder maintains deeds, mortgages, liens, and other property documents. These records are public and anyone can request copies.
The Recorder office is at 75 W. Cleveland in St. Johns. Phone: (928) 337-7515. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The office is closed Fridays.
Document copies cost $1 per page. Plat maps cost $5 per page. Certification adds $3 per document. Copy requests are typically processed within 24 to 48 hours. You can pick up copies in person or have them mailed to you.
Note: The four-day work week means you should plan requests early in the week if you need them before the weekend.
Apache County Assessor Property Search
The Assessor tracks property values and ownership for tax purposes. You can search their records online at no cost.
The Apache County Assessor EagleWeb lets you look up properties by address, owner name, or parcel number. Results display assessed values, property details, and ownership information.
For mapping, the Apache County GIS Parcel Viewer shows property boundaries on aerial imagery. You can zoom to any location and click parcels to see their details. This tool helps when you need to visualize where properties are located.
Apache County Court Records
Court records come from Superior Court in St. Johns and justice courts in the county. Civil disputes, criminal cases, and family matters all create public records.
For Superior Court cases, use the statewide Arizona Courts eAccess system. You can search cases from July 2010 forward. Basic case searches are often free. Document images cost $10 each.
Contact the Clerk of Superior Court for older records or records not available online. Staff can help locate case files and make copies of documents you need.
